Sekiguchi is a neighborhood spanning the banks of the Kanda River and the slopes of Mejirodai Hill in north central Tokyo.
While mostly residential, the area contains a disproportionately high number of both interesting and historical sights. Among them are St. Mary’s Cathedral, Chinzanso Garden, two museums and the former residence of a feudal lord from southern Japan.
Getting there
There is no Sekiguchi Station, but there are stations around Sekiguchi. The most convenient is Edogawabashi Station on the Yurakucho Line. Waseda Station—the terminus of the Arakawa Line “Sakura Tram” is also handy to Sekiguchi, but those with mobility issues should beware as getting to Sekiguchi requires a bit of an uphill slog.
