Kichijōji is a fashionable neighborhood in Mitaka City in the western suburbs of Tokyo
It is almost always at the top of surveys of the most desirable places to live in Tokyo. The picturesque Inokashira Park with its large ornamental ponds makes a beautiful centerpiece to the town. The Ghibli Museum — a tribute to animator Hayao Miyazaki’s Ghibli Studios — is also located in the park.
Kichijōji Station is connected to Shibuya via the Keiō Inokashira Line (for which it is the terminus). It’s also on the JR Chūō Line with quick access to Shinjuku.
