Yutenji is a Jōdo-shū sect Buddhist temple located a short walk from Yutenji and Nakameguro stations.
The temple was founded in 1718, and a number of structures are registered as national tangible cultural properties, including the main hall, main gate, and temple bell.
Yūtenji is the venue for the annual fireman’s memorial service.
The temple also lends its name to the nearby neighborhood and train station.
