Remm Roppongi
12 p.m. check outRoppongi
Remm is a simple and straight forward hotel in a great location. It’s right in the heart of Roppongi, a popular nightlife district. And that might just be why they have a nice late check out.
The hotel itself isn’t much to write home about, but the rooms have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The views from rooms on the higher floors are excellent though, and who’s going to complain about a massage chair in their room?
Mitsui Garden Roppongi
12 p.m. check outRoppongi
Mitsui Garden is another Roppongi hotel, although it’s a bit less central than Remm. It makes up for this with a nice modern set up, and facilities that include a gym and a restaurant/bar on the 14th floor.
The rooms are spacious, stylish and — above all — comfortable. Higher rooms have a nice view, but if you can’t snag one of those the aforementioned restaurant has an excellent balcony for you to enjoy instead.
Hotel The Celestine
12 p.m. check outShiba
Hotel The Celestine is just a stone’s throw away from one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks — Tokyo Tower. However, it’s just far away enough that the area is quiet and not too touristy.
The hotel is fairly classy, with some great facilities like a gym and restaurant/bar. Rooms aren’t huge, but they’re reasonable and definitely comfortable. Higher floor rooms have outstanding views of the Tokyo skyline, and some even offer glimpses of other landmarks like the Rainbow Bridge.

Over in Ginza, AC Hotel is shiny, new and full of creature comforts. It suits the upmarket neighborhood well, with well-appointed facilities like a 24 hour gym, rooftop terrace and bar/restaurant.

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo

2 p.m. check outShibuya
Sequence Miyashita Park is something of a Cheapo favorite as it strikes a good balance between comfort and affordability. That, and its location in the area between Yoyogi Park and Shibuya Station is convenient but not too noisy.
The hotel keeps things simple, without too many flashy extras, but there is a bar where you can grab a drink and the rooms have good views. Want to know the best part though? The wonderfully late check-out time of 2 p.m.
Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel
12 p.m. check outShibuya
If you prefer instead to be in the heart of the action, Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is a great choice. This sleek upmarket hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Shibuya Station, giving easy access to great shopping, dining, and transport options. Facilities include a gym, a pool, eight restaurants and a bar on the top floor.
As for the rooms, they are spacious and modern but not too over the top — except for in a good way when it comes to the view. All of the rooms are on the 19th floor or higher so you’re guaranteed some superb cityscapes. If you’re especially lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji.
Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba
12 p.m. check outOdaiba
Located on the manmade island of Odaiba, Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba is perfect for those wanting to make the most of the malls and entertainment options in the area. They have all the facilities you’d expect from a classy place like this, including a gym, pool, restaurant and bar.

Book hereThe Okura Tokyo
12 p.m. check outToranomon
This shiny and new version of The Okura Tokyo opened its doors in 2019. The old hotel was demolished to make way for it, but they tried to maintain the traditional atmosphere in the newer iteration. This is especially good news for James Bond fans, who might recognize the interior from You Only Live Twice. Located in the central Tokyo neighborhood of Toranomon, you could suggest that this claim to fame makes the hotel the main attraction in the area. And it’s kind of true.
If you can afford to stay here, you can enjoy spacious rooms that are simple and classy. And, if you book a room in the Heritage Wing you even get a complimentary welcome drink.
