Head to a beach near Tokyo for fireworks in the summer.
What happens?
In recent years, the fireworks have been canceled, but 2024 sees the event back in action. The Kamakura Fireworks Festival takes place at Yuigahama on the coast of Kamakura City and will see around 2,500 fireworks shot into the sky.
This is a good finish to a day trip to the area to either enjoy the beach or visit the various historic temples and shrines in the area.
In the event of stormy weather, the event will be canceled with no backup day.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
